Drenched and dripping from the downpour
Seeking shelter from the storm
Women whine about ruined hair
Men sigh over soaken suits
Fustrated faces and failed plans
A dreary day drags on
When Friday nights become Saturday mornings. The dew glitters on the grass like a fallen chandelier, casting shards of liquid sun. Coals burn in the fire sending smoke crawling towards the sky.
Words falling off the page
Undone beds and ticking clocks
When will it stop?
Blurry faces passing by
Inkless pens and endless stories
Which one is mine?
Always chasing after the moon
Words falling off the page
Undone beds and ticking clocks
When will it stop?
Blurry faces passing by
Inkless pens and endless stories
Which one is mine?
Always chasing after the moon
Time embraces the world with light,
And sets the sun for an inky black night,
It can be the stitch for a broken heart,
Or a sharp steel blade that cuts life apart.
Like the sunsets fading, lost in the vast horizon, as we chase after the unknown. Those sleepless nights we spent, counting the stars sneaking away from reality. Who would have ever thought that time would soar, as we realized how most was spent,
Live your life how you wish,
Don’t waste a single moment.
Tomorrow may very well be your last,
So live life to the fullest.
Once again
My heart has beaten into a fresh puddle of dawn
The sun has licked my eyes awake
Chance sits on the other side of my front door.
Outside, the grass waits for my toes
i am the burried treasure found centuries after being hidden away under blankets of rubble.
my eyes decorated with rings of purple and blue from a soundless slumber, evidence of a sleep still needed to be had.
Say you'll do it but the cliff
stands waiting for you to jump.
Lick at the whirl of wind
tugging you
to the edge, for words are just words.
So voice them through your actions,
grab for the clouds,
Come one come all,
To this tragic affair.
If the sun shant rise
Will they be left in despair?
Did thy do as thy may
before the end of the day?
Or were thy trapped in thy head
Life happens
in an instant.
No one
is resistant
to life’s great fate.
Forget the gloomy end
so near.
i feel there comes a time
when we realize that our life
is only but half a life
that we have deprived ourselves
of enrichment and fulfillment,
These days
We wait
For something to happen
We wait for Fridays
We wait to be seniors
We wait to go to college
We wait for the perfect relationship
We wait for happiness
I think God has a cruel sense of humor.
Because when I turned eleven and pleaded with all my might to become immortal,
I heard Him chuckle in the confides of the newly blackened space
You are shunned from my past
Memories gone at last
Now I don't have to see your face
And I don't have to go back to that place
Where you broke my heart
And tore my world apart
I saw you today
We work and we build.
Bricks and mortar are our drug.
But with all this progression,
Time often pulls out the rug.
We sometimes miss
Our only chance
To take the plunge,
Now is the time to run like the wind.
Over the mountains and the seas,
Over the rivers and the trees.
Use all of you power and all of your might!
Have an effect on everything in your sight!
You look in the mirror and scream,
You wonder how the glass doesn’t crack
Your face is covered with a thousand pimples
Rotten-tomato red and Jet black
