When i first looked into your eyes
they reminded me of the warmth i felt every time
I took a sip of coffee with my favorite hazelnut creamer
But I,

I will fight so strong and even continue to right my wrong

I wake in the morning, just to see the same scene
people rushing down the halls most under eighteen.
We go to class, sit down, and write
then when we reach our homes we work through the night.
"Can I have the-"
"The 5 dollar footlong? Yes, you may sir!"
He chuckles softly every time I finish his order for him
His name is Lorenzo and he lives down the street in his 'man cave' as he likes to call it
What am I? Who am I?
Those simple questions have the most difficult answers
They may seem easy after finding the answers
But the difficulty is finding the answers
You can make up who you are

The world is a heavenly-hell type of place
Some days are good and some days are awful
I just wish there was one thing about me I could erase
The way people treat me, just feels unlawful
The bite
on the inside on my stomach
"The last time I ate?"
"This morning." I lie through my teeth.
I know it has been at least 24 hours,
but
I know if I fixate on the reality, I won't focus.
