Dear Charlie,
I have a small confession. Forgive this pouring of my heart.
A follower count up to six digits,
and a new picture added everyday.
Narcissus was the king of Instagram
and he planned on keeping it that way.
Girls from all over the globe,
Oh, the weather outside is dreadful
Legislation is going mental
Seas rising; there's no snow
O-oh no, o-oh no, o-oh no.
Today the weather's nice though cold. I thought
I’d take a bike ride through the neighborhood.
After a while, the call of nature came.
So naturally I headed to my go-
Unrealistic dialogue in romantic movies,
Teenage females who still think boys have cooties,
When I’m home alone at night and the doorbell rings,
These are a few of my least favorite things.
There once was a cave,
There lived three bears,
A momma, a daddy, and a cub.
They lived happily hunting and hybernating.
Once, they were out hunting.
First I make the dough
Then I perform some magic
Greatness is acheived
To speak, or to hang up -- that is the question;
Whether ‘tis safer to speak and unveil
The voice behind that incessant sound
Or to let it wait unanswered, ignored
Once upon a time, in a faraway land
a prince asked a fair maiden for her hand
the girl was confused, because you should know
they had only known each other for an hour or so.
Once upon a time,
in a tower- tall, far and kept away
lived Rapunzel,
a secret princess in her day
Her father, the King
made a mistake he could not take back
There once was an Emperor with a very short temper who focused his attention on clothes. As his closet did grow, it seemed as though he cared not of the council he imposed.
Whose shoes these are I think I know.
Their feet have not returned yet, though.
With blankets scattered there and here,
The mess will only grow and grow.
Oh say can you see?
By the dawn’s early light
The big wall towering
Over us all upright
Whose broad bricks
And bright clay
I ask them to take a poem
And read it
Like they were the author,
Or subject, for that matter.
I say drop a lemon-scented pod into a poem
And watch it dissolve,
Shall I compare thee to a winter's day?
Thou art more hollow and more distressing;
Rough winds do shake your meaning far away
And empty words are long from impressing.
You—
You are the only one that accepts me as I am.
You ply to my will no matter how forcefully I embrace you.
No matter how many times I change my mind or turn away,
Everybody’s lookin for cells Oh! Ain’t that the reason you in this lab? Oh!
You ain’t going to find them dancing around. No! I gotta better solution for you boy. Oh!
The clock strikes twelve,my hunger abounds,
The kitchen groans with too much food inside,
The food sits heaped upon the shelf in mounds,
My mother scolds me and by law abides,
Two poems lie crumpled on the floor,
And sorry I had not the patience to read them both,
I contemplated throwing them away.
But I skimmed through one as best I could
His hair arrayed in a muddy brown mess,
With all of the elegance and finesse,
Of a homeless man in a burlap dress.
His meticulous life well unkempt,
I hear America singing "freedom" for everyone.
I hear their hypocritical songs, singing long through the night.
I hear the rich belting their greed-filled, boasting songs
This is the dead land
We live as we dream--alone...
We are the fighters.
We are the lonely ones.
Our mission binds us together,
From childhood’s hour I was not the same
As others were; I did not play games
L'amour est quelque chose qui ne devrait pas être imposée à d'autres
Let us go, you and I,
When the stars are in the sky
Like a painting by Van Gogh;
Let us walk the city streets,
To perm or not to perm-that is the question:
Whether it is nobler in the mind to embrace the kink
The twist outs, the rollers and the de-tangler
Galinda:(spoken)Elphie, now that we're friends, I've decided to make you my new project
Elphaba:(spoken)You really don't have to do that
Galinda:(spoken)I know. That's what makes me so nice
Stuck in a Dream where the world is unseen,
Awaiting the Day that won't come anyway.
Two eyes closing shut, as the Candle is snuffed
Awishing the dream in the earth that is seen
Lies, Lies, are all that awaits her!
Shall I compare thee to a birthday cake?
Thou art more layered and more fattening:
Harsh winds do force thy candles fire to shake,
And birthday’s end does cause a happening:
