I am me and no one can control me
Not my parents nor my friends
I am me and I decide to be who I wanna be
All I want to be is being free
Being an adolescent is a roaring, ever-changing ocean
and the new experiences are brave, plummeting waves.
However at times, I feel as little as a sail boat-
being drowned by an avalanche of furious waves.
Her voice is ear pinching,
Her movements are bold,
Her statements are out of the ordinary.
She walks up to you with excitement,
Screaming in your ear.
Your instinct is to walk away,
Smiling
People ask why
People aks how
But here,
in my own words
is how
I
smile
Sunshine after a stormy day
The smell of grass once the sun comes to play
Warm feelings
Memories of smiles
And outrageous laughter
With silly wiles
And for some
A happily ever after
Drowning in ecstasy
Waves of joy
Washing over me
Crushing me in bliss
It comes out of nowhere
Bright smiles
Teasing grins
Fond pats on the head
Muttered words
And it rings out
Sweet and gaily
Bells on the wind
Jokes prance around
Eyes lit up
We're happy, oh so happyEven when we shouldn't beBut we make the work although, you said you hate me..
Yeah, we fightLike we can't get it rightAnd yet you still say that our future's bright
You’ve all taught me that it’s perfectly acceptable
To not be okay.
You tell me that
I can wear my pain on my skin
And I can fear all sorts of things,
And you’ll accept me anyways.
When summer came,
I wasn't sure if it would be, once again, the same.
Shy, quiet, watching you all have fun;
But that was okay, that's how it was done.
I came to realize, that if I stood back yet again,
