I am Black which determines how I move. I am a woman which you should know too. I am inspired by those who came before me Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, and Rosa P.
Have you ever been forced to surpress your emotions, so much and so bad you no longer knew how to express those emotions? Been told to "Sit down, you're too loud," or maybe even "be quiet" when you have been anything but?
My mother wanted to name me Nina. The dreamer. Talented, highly flavored and strong. A woman whose voice spanned generations.
She captured me in her sexiness with her gravitational pull Her gravitational pull tugs at my essences The heat she emit would make Satan sweat Her earth tone skin have men erupting like volcanoes

A black guy once told me that I'm "not his type" "Nah," he said. "I don't fuck with them black girl types".  He  said he likes them Spanish types, them mixed chick types, them white girl types, them "exotic" types. 
it's hard to believe i'm ***FLAWLESS sometimes but looking at the evidence, who can deny? with the way syncopated drum rhythms wrap around my head like a crown

What have we done to deserve such injustice? No one else feeling our pain, it's just us Being spit on and hurt by people who are just like us We're still human beings, not animals and fiends Or things you can attack
If I could see over this farmed hills, I wouldn't have to be afraid of life's thrills. I am here for you brother-man Here to lend a simple hand.
There was a time in this country it was a sin to be black, when limp bodies dangled like bloated, forbidden fruit and ‘coon’ was considered a pet name.
