I realized I wasn’t a kid anymore
When my heart sped up
From the mistakes that I had made.
A moment in my life,

There was a price to be paid.
A price for every action
It was her,

All my life;

At five years old, my hometown seemed like Wonderland,
Countertops that towered over me, the aroma of baked goods
Infiltrating the crowded sidewalks, coercing me to want a taste.
