Materialstic things portray valuables and possessions
I went from rags to riches
And learned life's lessons
Get rich or die trying, some said
But that's not factual to me
Got money but want to be dead
Dear Mama, the beauty of your soul is wonderment to my wondering self.
When I was tender, I fall from walks.
I stumbled in sickness and I cried,
but you came around and said; "my child, my child! Don't cry, don't cry!
Everything nice comes at a price
So that’s why always gamble with dice hoping to rise
Poverty holding us back ….suffocating us…. air tight
Every single force we mobilise in pursuit of emancipation
It doesn't pay to be nice
People take advantagae
You pay the price
Weakness
There can't be any
Strengths there must be many
It is a cold world
Goons at every corner
When was the day that I felt the heat?
Was I lifeguarding on Jackson street?
Was I pouring salt on a customers fries?
Was I organizing silk sewn ties?
Did i ring up that DVD correctly?
What would be the price of a life?
How would one measure the price of a life?
Would it be based on the physical condition and the person's appearance?
Or on their personality?
The tree grew sideways
A bush fluffed out
emerald green and rich brown
Flowers stemmed beneath them
and grass grew unrestrained.
Rich fragrance and vibrant nature
should have filled his senses.
