It's absurd, it's treasonous,
Lines are blurred where reason is.
It's now where rationality has left;
Unfounded accusations carry heft.
What shall we do? What can we do?
What of that good reputation
She’s looking at him and he’s looking at her
And neither of them will speak to each other
Over dinner there is only silence and the
Quiet clinking of glasses and mushy chewing
Mirror Talk
For a while
I’ve been saying what I don’t truly know
I thought I made myself
A long time ago
Looking in a reflection
Hoping my thoughts won’t worsen
Riding for miles, Your perfect smiles,
Silent conversations, Innocent flirtations,
The hot, sunny days, They passed me in a daze,
Mindless texts, Not knowing what comes next,
Sometimes we disagree,
But that’s okay.
To be perfectly honest,
I wouldn’t have it any other way.
You’re always there,
You’ve helped me grow,
And you always know what to say,
Sometimes we argue,
sometimes we fight,
we definitely have our fits,
but that's alright.
Maybe things aren't always perfect,
sometimes we wonder why,
occasionally I give up.
