Life is full of shocks, locks
My shoulder hurts. I have woken up
The clock reads 12:15.
For a moment, I thought it meant PM
I realize I fell asleep at 6.
Isn't Less Sometimes MORE ... ?
Those Words Sound GOOD If You're NOT POOR ... !!!
But Money DOESN'T Give You ... " LIFE " ...
And Life Is NOT Defined By PRICE ... !!!
But Is That ... RIGHT ... ?!?
It is too easy to make affliction handsomeWhen it's lined with rhyme Traced by thin fingersThe numb glow of a dawn window.White drapes on skin and glassDark eyes torn with pain madeBeautiful
How far down does my deepness go?
Does it only extend to the end of my clothes?
Is it the shoes that I wear?
Or the car that I drive?
Do I appreciate the gift of simply being alive?
This rat race, it’s one bad place
Where I can’t breathe and I can’t see
Struggling on my knees for this piece of cheese.
The world? Oh, it’s watching, see?
And coming after me on this treadmill
His hand reached out towards hers, the barest kiss of warmth between their palms. Her face lit up with the promise of his eyes reflected across the bow of his lips.
Built upon bloodshed and mass genocide
maybe the color of my skin did dictate innocent lives
We probably did take it all away
The culture, the land, the native beauty
Gold Diamond rich with them carats Bold red lips and them plastics Gold Blood dripping it's a classic American Dream......
The animal was suffering cruel conditionsYou may ask yourself whyThe answer lay on monetary commissions The reason thousands of animals die.

These isms plague the earth and make me wish they were gone
Darkness seeps through their pores and blots out the light of the sun
Race-ism hitting the psyche of humans deep
If my beloved father never started a career
that required so little family commitment,
I doubt I'd comprehend the meaning
of matieralism.
Two-hundred-fifty thousand a year
without a worry,
I put on my make-up and pick out my shoes;
the perfect pair to match my shirt.
Because that was what I was taught to do
In a World where looks are what seem to work.
They say my hair is much too short
The Conversation I Will Have With My 8 year-old Son
“It doesn't matter,” she tried then laughs it off
As if it doesn’t matter
It could be different, but still, it wouldn’t matter to her if it did or didn’t in my eyes
Cause where’s the relevance to her?
Manhattan, bombard me with your flashy signs and electronic bilboards
Cover the blue sky with your advertisements and logos
Im getting more excited by the second
The blood is pumping through my body
If i could change anything in my world,
it would be the heavy reliance upon materialism,
most teens in America are unaware that they are spoiled,
Our words are like weapons and we're at war,
longing to hear the trumpet roar.
It's ways rage against us, we can't ignore,
but will tolerate the things of this world.
We will not embrace the things of this world.
I've tried to make sense of it all,
but reasoning fails, which leaves me falling
down again, to where I began
to misunderstand this life.
If the only absolute
is the knowledge that there's no truth,
It was the only thing that made her happy
not the human interactions
not the smiles and hugs of her lovers
but the life of something which she could never lead
"Two roads diverged in a yellow road."
That is, until that wood became another metropolis
printed in bold on the United States map
population, unknown.
If this is a dog-eat-dog world,
2013 I graduated High School,
Never had it hit that I had to be cool,
Just to be simply true,
Live truth,
Spread some good moods,
Accept my wins and when I lose,
Love as my main tool,
Hello my name is Benjamin
Like I don’t know what rhymes with Benjamin
Or this bed I’m in
All I know is how dead I’ve been
(poems go here) We treat them like holiday shrines. Decorate with sentiment, place gifts at their feet, then throw them out when the seasons change. What a waste; shows how the human has become all garnish, no substance.
