She wants to be a vet, a chef, for all we know, a princess,
But we see her growing up in this mess.
The life we call a system for kids that go where they are mistreated,
Silence secludes the screaming.
Trapped in a prison cell,
Not even God or death could redeem me.
My big secret I can't tell.
My supposed family, friends, and mentor would kill me if they knew,
