I wake up every morning hoping to make my mark
I thank God for the day he has embarked
I ask him to keep me focused and to not stress over the little things
To prepare myself for whatever the day may bring
She reminds me of a plant because of her stems
and the way they bud and burgeon through every space.
She is kind, and indiscriminate, and withholds judgment
