Disney movies teach us to be kind and love others.
Give your heart to those who need it.
Make others happy, it will make you happy.
But when is it too much?

It’s the realization that typical childhood experiences weren’t apart of your memory
When I was 6, I was told to wear my scariest costume for Halloween day at school
And for once, my parents wanted to spoil me,
So while everyone at school became witches or skeletons or furries
I used to spend hours on end perfecting the recipe
To a mud pie.
Garnished with leaves, sunbaked to a crisp.
A gourmet cuisine of ignorance

It started out with just the little things,
things you don't notice until someone points it out.
"Hey, you've grown" they might say,
or you suddenly realize none of your clothes fit.
I would turn toward the swampand wonder what crawledbeneath the skunk cabbage,and then belly under, survey.
There was a rose that stood out from all the red ravishing ones.
This one bloomed too early onto the sacred ground of Mother Nature's beautiful creation,
(god, i thought i would have to be drunk to write this, but i don’t feel pain anymore.
not really.)
There is a place
I used to call home.
Sometimes my house is not a home but a prison
From the front yard it looks like a lovely family
But the grass isn't always greener on the other side
