Poetry. A simple word, but in reality it's anything but simple. Poetry is more than what meets the eye. It stands out amongst other forms of literature. It allows you to paint a picture in someone's mind, showing them how you feel.
I had never given much of a thought to poetry. The kids on the street only hear their own beat. “Poetry ain’t too slick,” people say. I believed them.  
We're asked from an early age What do you want to be when you grow up It's a question designed  To make us look forward to the future   But no matter what I do
"Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold..." (Nothing Gold Can Stay, Robert Frost). The words coming out of the TV screen, as PonyBoy recites them so meaningfully.
