You're proud and strong,
Even though you have your struggles.
You put us above many things;
Above your relationships,
Above your work.
The first year we met
We almost reached the top.
I rely on an unpredictable,
irreplaceable,
and sometimes seemingly non reciprocal relationship.
Yes, it seems abusive, but trust me we’re fine.
I know you’ve been there and I know you struggled, it’s been almost 3 years since yo son been in trouble. I been thinking bout my life..
I was told being an extrovert was better.
But what they didn't know,

There are many people
In and out of my life,
But they all have impacted me
My world expands as time turns back,
A single glance into the past.
A sarcastic comment, the room does spark,
A cheeky smile plays the part.

Chatter fills the room.

I remember the smell of nicotine and tobacco,
of yellowed tar-filled teeth, that
always wafted from your face,
whenever you came to visit me
