Every moon sparks passion  Never do I dream of sleeping But instead, my mind twinkles in sequence.  All I've ever done, all I've ever known. Please don't let them show I do not wish to know.
The Cardboard Box on the Shelf 
The first time I ran away from home was when I was four. And I saw Safeway up ahead during my journey through the shortcut
In the dead of night The moon shone bright  A lone soul raced In search of the light She was being followed by her prey And had nowhere safe to stay

I think some days What would I be If I never speak Be a normal teen Let someone else write these feelings To be part of life Instead of with a pencil I find myself lonely
Poetry has taught me how to vocalize with style and power Instead of hiding in cower. It helped me express my emotions And stand tall as a tower.   Poetry has shown me a new perspective
Dear vehicles I drive,   Why?   First, you were the oldest of them You were sturdy and strong You held through my inexperience My unsureness My fear
Tell me the Story of America I don't mean the story of red, white, and blue I mean the story of those with skin of a different hue Taught to be ashamed
They tell me education is the key to success the key that will get me out this mess the key that will present me with a new dress, walk and flow about me. Present me as "Doctor" instead of "Mister"
