Corrosive Beauty
Its top layers are worn.
Wrinkles splay everywhere, some atop others.
Some parts are bent and cracked.
Weathered surfaces are brown and sere.
Mountains and canyons beyond what eyes can see
The clay earth beneath is subliminally icy
Misty air follows me along the path
I savor its taste as it swirls in wrath
