Another school lunch at the beginning of
Another school year.
The staff handed out our student ID’s,
It looks bad.
But not as bad as my permit,
Who Am I?
It's the lone question every single human breathing on this Earth asks. I have struggled with this question myself. It's a difficult task.
When anguish tugs down on the corners of my mouth
and fastens itself stubbornly in my throat
I just remember this marvelously refreshing feeling:
I don’t love you at all.
And before you glare at me with those squinted eyes,
Before you place your hands akimbo,
Before you wiggle your neck at me and say, “Excuse me?!”
Excuse me while I light my spliff.
