LET US RISE FROM THE FALL In the beginning, on this brand new earth, Before there was need of a new rebirth, Adam and Eve in their innocence stood
No matter what life decides to put you through, it is up to you to keep going, And even when it seems like you can't keep going, moving forward is what is going to help you to keeo growing.
Today you will wake up again Today you will stretch and yawn And put on your clothes again To keep trying to move on   Today you will laugh and smile Because it’s what they need to see
Today is Easter Sunday The grass is a little greener The flowers are beginning to say hello The chill in the air seems less invasive   It’s time to wake up, get out of bed
Rise   You were never missing a kind word A life story A tale unheard You never missed a hug A gentle soul
Am I tainted now? I’m asking out of curiosity. My darling, sweet child of mine, Don’t blame yourself for this act of atrocity. A twisted man crossed the line,
I despise the wind, it is never there when I need it. Whirling and wonderfully blissful when I was brought into this life. But it is now a violent whirlwind present at the death of my soul. The wind is the source of my strife.
To the rose with tears in her petals.   Who wilts every morning as the suns rays illuminate her wounds   Who’s roots dig deep but were grown too thin to drink in life  
I want to walk upon the waters, but it seems so inviting. I may just tumble down to the depths and feel my last breath. I want to lay on the ocean floor. I want to watch as my last breath rises to the surface without me.
When all things go down and from your head is taken the crown what you need to do is first calm down things are about to turn around.   Greatness is not how much you gain or how often you always aim.
In a world built by the blood, sweat, and tears of people who look like meFrom the fields to front officesFrom the streets to street prophetsThey look at us and still see the whips and chainsThey owned us
Pull the rope from either end Watch it fray and snap and destroy from within.   Then squeeze the ball at its very core Till it’s a flat disk, with a pop, then a ball no more.

Life is funny at times we have our ups and we have our down There is so much to be said and done yet nothing comes out We grow to adore and love someone, then we find out that it’s not reciprocated 
"Don't be your father." Don't give up when they need you. Don't go back on your word. Make it through. Find a way.   "Don't be your mother." Don't leave them all alone.

Out of the darkest shell I emerge, Bringing Out a path once trailed I Arrive; With a story to tell From a past once bitter To a Path Now Fitter
We sang and we danced, laughed and played  But that was back then in the good ole days  Back when we were free  And had no reason to flee  The nights we would all gather around the blazing fire 
As I release you from my life , for the first time, I can breathe. 
Every day is another war, Another soul lost Another closed door And at what cost?
  Phoenix Rise The stage, the lights, the crowd I transform into a different character
Sometimes, I get tired of white men on screens I get tired of being told to care about what they believe I get tired, of no one listening   My voice is loud How do they so easily turn the dial down
You gazed at me like I was wildfire,
To speak but not to be heard.
I fall, I rise.  I make mistakes, I live. I've been hurt, but Im alive. I'm human. I'm not perfect, but I learn.  I've encountered hardships, but im thankful. 
Him. He is all. He is one. He knew what would happen when time was done. Time. The time we live in does not last forever. So how can one say that we will always be together? It’s not a gift.
And I'm still thinking why. . . Why did god chose me for this struggle on my journey Who am I, why does my appearance gives the right to judge me.

With a word backstage When the audience becomes silent You could hear the sound of the safety pin holding together your costume Drop Curtain Applause resounds and lights search

Pillars of salt became the woman who turned back, the woman who longed for her home, for her life, for her humanity. Pillars of salt she became, as her lot trudged on.  
Here lies the woman of dreams who escaped turmoil on the high of laughter, plummeted into the stories sung by written words and tears, and danced in imaginary lands while cowering from the sun.
 
Tulips grown in sun Often picked by younger ones, Left to spurt again.
Rose
shine. rise. I shine and rise. We rise together. We are one. One shine. One heart.
Life is full of mysteries; you never know what may happen, who may come your way. Being reminded we must live our life day to day.
Suffocating in darkness As a diseased light paved my way I attempted to scale the barriers That separated me from the outside where life thrived
When dreams long since are spent and broken- when a weary people can no longer wait- they will rise up, rise from raisins and sores and rotten meat, and they will speak.
