Greet the Day Scholarship Slam - CLOSED

Okay, so you might not be so excited about waking up early every day for school, but you do have that main reason to get up in the morning (besides waffles). There’s something that motivates you to roll out of bed and take on the day ahead.

What makes you get up and greet the day?

We want to know what makes you excited to experience each and every day. Do you seek out adventure? Love talking with your friends? Or maybe you just can’t wait to read the next chapter of that book. Tell us in a poem about what acts as your personal motivation for your chance to win.

Note: This is a merit-based scholarship. That means your poems will be judged based on the following criteria: (1) Quality, (2) Effort, (3) Creativity, and (4) Content (How closely your submission answers the prompt)

  1. The basic requirements are this: (1) you are 25 years of age (or younger), and (2) you are a current or former high school student who will attend or is attending college within the U.S. or its territories.

  2. Add an original poem to Power Poetry by Wednesday, October 19, 2016. You'll need to register as a member of our community first.

  3. Note: You are permitted to enter only ONE of the two available scholarships open between Thursday, August 18, 2016 and Wednesday, October 19, 2016. Any member submitting to both scholarships will be immediately disqualified.

Got questions? Our scholarship FAQ and contest rules should have the answers. If they don't, feel free to contact us.
