Poems from smitk3602
My gaze is set forward
on the quicksilver-brushed glass
as I examine
every mountain
and valley
of the lightly freckled porcelain skin...
I cannot shake this feeling
Like an itch you cannot scratch,
Sitting under darkened skies
Ready to collapse.
I look above to the vast
And...
When it rains it pours they say,
So go and find your zen;
Even if for a moments time,
Peace will reign again.
When it rains, it pours,
They say,
I've never known a grander truth.
Skies turn gray and I
Drown again
In water, tears, and straight...
Time stays slow
As I sprint towards gold,
Thousand miles away,
I just can't seem
to run fast enough
To having your company.
