Poems from rissaheard
You reached for my hand one morning,
while you were sleep,
as I just happened to open my eyes.
Your fingers found mine gently,
too shy...
3:22 and it's not you lying next to me
you're probably sleeping just fine.
Eyes just barely closed and
fingertips inches away.
Soft snores...
I'm starting to feel like hearts are anchors
and mine is rushing to the ground.
Only I don't want to stay here,
stranded under the beating...
The sky was pale blue
with tints of pink
through the window of a white washed house.
Branches hanging on to trunks of trees,
no leaves,...
I am an optimist disguised as a pessimist
who hoards many flaws.
And in the cracks and crevices of my heart
bleeds out a sad love song....
