If I had the money,
I’d buy a telescope,
so I could look deep into
the galaxies hidden in your eyes,
your dark, dark eyes,
and maybe...
Everything you say comes out as poetry
each thought its own stanza
each conversation its own poem
you question things I accepted as truth...
Like cold sheets, the night air wraps around us,
your voice hangs in the sky with the stars,
and the moon reflects it back to me,
and I lay...
I wish I could dump your fears into the ocean,
and let them sink away from your memory
I wish I could fire your doubts amongst the stars...
