You caught me slipping.
You grabbed my hand as I dangled
Precariously over that ledge,
As I toed the line
Between today and yesterday.
And...
I walk this road, this road towards my truth.
My truth which I have fought long and hard
To find and hold onto.
Always searching for myself...
I need you to be
Your first soulmate
I need you to fall
In love with yourself
Before you fall too far for me
I want you to look at yourself...
You don't know who I am
So why tell me what to be?
You don't know what I've done
So why tell me how to feel?
Why can't you say my name ...
Living is hard to do
It may look easy,
But it's not
Not in this world
So many people just waiting to beat you down
So many people who don't...
