My name is Joseph Benitez, I often use the name Frankie Benitez as a writing alias. I love to write about the world around me and how the world and the people and experiences in it have shaped me as a writer and an artist. I am a singer/songwriter so many of my poems are written in a verse/chorus/verse type of format.

Walking in the night
thinking about how to survive this place.
We're scared of monsters,
but worse we're scared of each other.
Haunted...
There's a hazy shade of gray,
settled in front of me.
I can't see past anything.
It really drives me crazy.
