I really got into poetry in my freshman year of high school when I was going through a tough time. Since then I still do poetry from time to time and feel its a good outlet. I love doing poetry because not only can I get my emotions across on paper, but I can look back at something I created and am proud of. Most of my stuff does also turn out to be a little on the dark side, but nothing too bad. I feel we all have some sort of dark side to us and just hope that others can relate.
We fear the future
And worry about the past
We are stuck in the present
Wondering how it will last
We wish on shooting stars
And hope for a...
Dark thoughts in my head
Why can't I just be dead
Smiling faces in the crowd
Full of people laughing so loud
I feel empty
I feel cold...
My mind is running again
My heart about to stop
The future just seems so dark
Like a monster chasing me at breakneck speed
Like a beast...
