Poems from Courtney Adams
Hello!
My pen name is Courtney Adams, and I am a young writer in Canada. I tend to write poems on suicide awareness, racial discrimination and occasionally romance, but sometimes I will write about something else that means a lot to me. I love how amazing the authors in this community are, and I enjoy reading other's poems and learning from them.
Thank you for reading,
C.A.
I would like to stay
And tell you the way
That I felt that night
When I looked at my screen’s light
As you typed; Hello
And I said; Hi
I...
As I look apon this poor, troubled soul
My heart burns like a fire's coal
'How can they be so cruel?'
I say, and it adds to the fire's fuel...
So as you stand before me as I look down at the ground
Listen to my words, because I know no one ever has
I know, I'm sorry
I've gone...
Don't come close to me.
Don't you understand?
If I get close to you,
I will become vulnerable,
And if I'm vulnerable,
I will fall...
I stitch together with a needle and thread
All of the words and ideas inside my head
But then you come along
And I try to act strong
But...
