Poems from Aurora Oviedo
A high school student that loves poetry and recently won a poetry contest that allowed me to see it used in a play by Buddy Hannah, it has blown me away and influnced me to continue, to show the world my work and my passion.
Tears stream down her face
She feels lost and perplexed
Confused if it was her fault that you left
Day turns into night
And still she...
She lies
He sees
She cries
He screams
She dies
He beams
And all you can do is watch through the crack in your room
You start to shiver and your palms are slick with sweat
You tell yourself to breath
So you hyperventilate
You tell yourself to walk away...
Tears are the body’s way of telling the truth
You can tell those around you that you’re fine
But in the end those treacherous tears begin...
An unfinished work of art
Is like a broken heart
It’s filled with love
Then is suddenly
Stopped
In the
Mid-
