Zemis

In a vast,

Solemn village,

Over 200 million years ago,

Lay a wise, humble goddess,

Both high and low.

The years flew on,

By and by,

Many started to believe,

That the goddess was the sky.

In that sky,

There lived the dead,

Hutey, Jen and Jah.

The cacique later called it "Oh sweet Cayoba".

At the sound of the shell,

Everone got down on one knee,

To show kindness and respect,

To the one and only zemi.

Then the darness swallowed the light,

That had showed off vigorously all day,

To remind all the natives,

To stay calm when appointed,

And be strong when the time comes your way.
