I get ridiculed for my music, so it's time to strike back.

People call me a rapper, and I'm not even black.

I'm a lover of metal you can state it as a fact

and living large every day with my life call it shaq.

I haven't written a poem in years, not since the 8th grade

But even back then.. I had it all made

I don't write about my feelings, just about what comes to me

like how all my friends are awesome and they're number one to me.

It's all random in my head, but I have to stick to the theme,

you only get one life and this is what it means to me:

Succeed in life, put your family first

put your education next or you should expect the worst.

Steer clear from drugs, they'll only darken your path

and don't mess with the system or you'll feel it's wrath.

People always tell me Drake coined the phrase "YOLO"

But I always correct them, it was Mitch Lucker just so yo' kno'

They ask me "Who is that? Some stupid screamo band?"

I answer "Yeah, he's the singer idiot." with my verbal back hand.

I don't care about opinions, no one can scathe me,

My father played me this music since I was a baby.

Fred Durst always told me that he did it for the nookie,

and Eminem's been spitting ever since he was a rookie.

If they can slam poetry then I might as well try,

My lines are near invisible to the naked eye.

I'll be a fan of heavy metal 'til I'm no longer alive,

I'll support my local bands 'til I freaking die!

So much has happened, in my four years at school

People posing, people dying, people trying to act cool

Lockdowns and fires one at the pep-rally

Grades rising and falling like a mountain or a valley.

I've played varsity football, I made quite a racket

but I don't have 500 bucks for a varsity jacket!

From freshman to senior it went too quick,

one statement of advice, find your major, make it stick.

I tell people now, straighten up, put down your blunts

Because carpe diem, yowo, you only write once.
