You're The Perfect Friend

You're the kind of levelhead I seek out for advice,

You got that smooth thing going where you speak once, think twice.

You keep your cool, even when my anger flares.

You know how to build forts with rocks people throw,

You never take it personally when someone hurls insults at your throat.

You don't get revenge, just live like nobody cares.

You're the perfect friend, you never criticize!

I wish I could look at the world through your eyes!

You're the perfect friend, you make me strong!

I wish I could agree with you even when I know I'm wrong,

But no big deal. Okay with me,

Cause you're the kind of friend I wish I could be.

You're the sort of brainiac who knows everything,

You ain't a snob, just modest, and you hate to be called a king.

You love with truth, even when you get hate.

You take interest in whatever scheme I cook,

You stand up for integrity and don't care how dumb I look.

You fight for what's right, even if it makes me wait.

So positive, so magical, so encouraging, so sweet!

So honest, so relatable, so amazing, so practical,

So cool I can hardly believe...

What'd I ever do to deserve a friend like you?

You've made me who I am today, and all that I can say...
