You're Always There

Dear Mother, I love you
So Happy Mother’s Day
To all mothers, but mostly you

You’re always there
To get me on my feet
You’re always there
To dry the tears for me

We’ve had some good times, bad times
Happy times and some sad times
But through it all, what I’ve learned is,
You’re always there

One night I was crying and I didn’t know what to do
Then you came and hugged me and said, “I love you”
It may not have meant much to you
But for me it did
Then you dried my tears and told me to smile and lift my chin

You’re always there
To get me on my feet
You’re always there
To dry the tears for me
We’ve had some good times, bad times
Happy times and some sad times
But through it all, what I’ve learned is,
You’re always there

Every daughter deserves a mother
Yet I don’t deserve you
Cause through it all, every time I fail
You pick me up & say, “I love you”

You’re always there
To get me on my feet
You’re always there
To dry the tears for me
Through it all, what I’ve learned is,
You’re always there
