Your words are heavy

Location

Believe it or not, you mold us.

For every word, action, complement, insult

toward us,

is a building block to our esteem,

determining how tough, or rough,

we are.

Because your words paint us a picture

of this theoretical bar.

It rises to the heavens when you express

some sort of hope

in us.

But falls, when you show that you can't

cope with us.

And believe, that every little "can't",

will dance, over an abundance of "can's"

that we we're told,

because every negative word about us,

holds.

Holds a weight that strains our heads down

holds our hearts and voices with no sound

closes our eyes, to be blind

brings our hands to our ears sides.

For this is a mute cry.

So remember, your shaping the person

who will find a cure to cancer.

The one that will become a renowned

dancer.

The lawyer that will bring peace,

the student who will also teach.

So as simple as you words may seem,

your exact words are in fact,

the begining of our seam,

that sews us together,

into the hopeful leaders

we will beam.

Words can actually hurt a lot despite what some people think; it's just mental rather than physical
