Your Storm

You roared at me like thunder,

and struck me like lightning.

The day you walked into my life,

my dreams were blown away

faster than leaves in the gushing wind.

You were a fearsome storm

that I found shelter to survive from.

But your apologies

were the drizzle that followed,

and my foolish forgiveness

was the faint rainbow that came after.
