Your Mercy

I almost let go,
Felt like I couldn't take life anymore.
My problems had me bound,
depression weighed me down.
I was lost, thought I couldn't be found;
In a pool of sin and almost drowned.
But he came, grabbed me and held me close-so I wouldn't let go.
These shameful thoughts had me imprisoned in chains. And in every attempt,
of escape-mediocrity told me I needed to stay down.
So my body stayed on the ground- torched with pain.
It wasn't until he picked me back up and reminded me who I was.
That's when I took his hand and realized that Gods goodness and
mercy will follow me all the days of my life.
Now I'm just so glad that he didn't leave me where found me..
