It's been about three weeks now,
And I'm starting to feel better.
Not waiting on you,
Has helped pull me together.
But I saw your picture today—
Your smile, so heavenly—
And I got lost in it.

It's been about three months now,
And I'm starting to forget her.
The time and distance,
Has helped pull me together.
But I heard your name today—
The sound, so lovely—
And I got lost in it.

It's been about three years now,
And I hardly even remember.
I'm getting older,
And I've got my life together.
But I saw our old friends today,
They said you got married,
And you're so happy together.
You're moving to the city,
Thinking about starting a family.
I wonder if you still remember me;
I remember you, so pretty.
I remember us, so happy.
And I can't imagine,
You spending your life with anyone else.
Your memory, so heartbreaking;
I'm lost in it.
