You smiled Kindly

In just a few seconds

That’s all it took

Just a few seconds

And you heard me

You smiled

And you ran to me

My sweet angel escape the sadness in your heart

You smile whenever you are around me

A golden light so bright

Blinded in your own brilliance

You can’t even see how remarkable you are

But it’s ok

It’s ok

Because one day you will see

Through my eyes

That you have escaped those chains that bonded your heart

Crystal clear blue skies has become your new home

And just in a few seconds

That’s all it took

You looked to see me for the first time

You smiled kindly

The tears would fall from my eyes quicker than I could think

My angel has escaped his sadness

And I

Prouder than any spouse could ever say

Prouder than any parent could ever say

Baby

You are a brilliant angel

Please don’t detour from the truth

Stare into my eyes and see the light reflecting from me

Your golden wings has broken free

No more chains to hold you back

Our love has defeated the darkness inside your heart

I knew right away

In a few seconds

You looked up and smiled so kindly . . .
