You Are Here

Location

You are here, I know you are

Because I can feel you sometimes.

You are here but you are not tangible,

Not tangible enough.

You are everything that surrounds me,

And the wonders that bless each day.

You are the breeze that cools me,

The dim warmth that overcomes me.

You are the sun’s rays escaping the confines of the clouds

And the picturesque colors overwhelming the sky as the sun sets.

You are the electricity running through copper wire,

The brightness of a planet amongst millions of stars.

You are the beauty of a full moon protected by the clouds

And the peace of darkness without a sound.

You are the briskness of winter nights,

The wind that makes tears seem like ice on my cheek.

You are the Spring’s sweetest aroma

With a voice that would be the gentlest of sounds.

You are the strength that pursues heavy steps forward,

The hope that never ceases to find me.

You are the hot sun that sets fire to my worries

And the melody carried by the birds outside my window.

I can feel you sometimes,

I just have to be willing to listen.
