You and I Will Never

16th September 1689

I will never feel the weight of you in my arms or hear you cry.
I'll never feel the grip of your hand around my finger.

You will never hear your name leave my lips.

I never felt you kick.
Your looks will forever be a mystery.

You never got to breathe.

You never opened your eyes.
There will always be a certain emptiness in my womb; in my heart-where you were suppose to fill.
Your first second of being born will never come.

You were only here for a moment but that moment was the most precious to me.
When I lost you, it felt like wolves were tearing me from the inside out. The blood that followed proved that to be true.

No one knows how much I cried in that moment.
No one knows how much I begged the Gods to bring you back to me.

You will never hear your name leave my lips.
I will never feel the weight of you in my arms or hear you cry.

There is a void where you should have filled.
