You and I

Sat, 10/24/2015 - 20:51 -- T_C

Are you mine?
Will you be mine?
I'm here all the time
Watching tele
Drinking wine

Could you be mine?
That'd be fine
We'd have a grand time
Running around
Throwing dimes
I'd laugh
You'd shine

Would you like to be mine?
Maybe my partner in crime?
Just give me a look
Toss a line
It doesn't have to be now
Either when we're old
Or when we're in our prime

If you ever decide you want to be mine
Just give me a call
Until then, I'll be fine
Because you and me
We could be sublime
And I promise to wait
Until you give me a sign

This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
