Before You

Before in the past I never did know If I might possess a graceful beauty. The kind to capture the heart of a beau,I did not think it could be part of me.Never once did I try to bat an eye.To chase after boys seemed a waste of time.To avoid heart break was my alibi. If I were to fall it would be a crime. Surely of romance one day I did dream,But at the time boys seemed too infantile.I never thought some boy could make me gleam,But then, somehow you caused my heart to smile. You changed my mind from what’s written above. Now I know what ‘tis to love and be loved.
