To you

My dear sweet friend I love you so
With you there was nothing to fear
We have been through hell
Even though we both wanted to yell
You keep your cool never wanting me to shed a tear

You fought for me
Day in and day out
We learned what it meant for something to be true
I wanted you to know there was nothing wrong with feeling
I never wanted to stop you
All I ever needed was honesty
And hopefully it wouldn't bother me

I wanted him to be my world
But you meant so much more
He was just a simple boy
That played me like a toy

After all these years
We are still so near
Never holding on to what we feared
