YES, I Can Help Power The World

Visiting Nigeria has always been fun.

Well, until dusk--down goes the sun.

Without a constant source of electricity,

The residents live in dark, dark cities.

My fellow brothers cannot preserve food.

Light won't turn on for several days, oh how rude.

Pity is not what I feel, but instead the spark of inspiration.

Now I pursue a major in engineering, with determination.

I will start my journey to find reliable sources of power this autumn.

So I can eventually be part of the solution to our world's problems.
