For years and years she wondered,
"Will I always feel alone?"
For years and years she travelled,
moving home to home.

For years and years she followed
the path they laid before her.
For years and years she swallowed
the intense hate the dwelled inside her.

For years and years they settled
in one big unhappy home.
For years and years they battled,
thinking, "We don't get along."

"For years and years we fought a lot,
Nothing can be done.
For years and years I've cried so much."
She then reached for the gun.

"For years and years I've hated
all the change you've put me through.
For years and years I've hated
the thought of me and you."

For years and years she dreamt
of scaring them this way.
For years and years she realized
the pain she'd caused that day.

The day she up and left
her big unhappy home.
Left two sisters and her parents,
who gave her all she owned.

For years and years to come,
she couldn't undo the past.
For years and years to come,
she was dying to go back.

"For years and years and probably more
I've always wanted to say,
For years and years and more,
I've treated you this way.

For years and years I dreamt
of never coming home.
For years and years to come,
I'll wish for nothing more.

For years and years to come,
I'll wish with all my heart,
I hadn't just up and left the family
that gave me years and years of life."
