Wrong Heart

You tore my heart out,

ripped it in two,

when were you going to say

that there was nothing left of you?

For me to have,

for me to hold,

for us to last until we grow old.

You said the words you had to say,

your heart couldn't last another day,

with all that you had put me through,

showed you didn't love me, only I loved you,

I thank God for that epiphany,

all that you did was for you, not for me,

now I have open eyes to see,

love is blinding, but I am set free,

Without words of sorrow or regret,

We, are the lesson I'll never forget,

no longer for you, is my heart set,

Now, anything in this world, I can have, I will get.
