Her slim and sassy,
Narrow lips,
Rosy, rugged,
Red-pink bliss

Her hair a natural,
Neutral blend
Dark roots contrast
Amber ends

The way she walks,
Her dressed-down style,
Rapid speech
And lazy smile

The way she laughs
And skews her face
Her awkwardness
And klutzy grace

Her gentle voice
And mouse-like sneeze
Her face all red
From allergies

Her sense of humor,
Synced with mine,
And when we joke
Our laughs entwine

She’s never one
For lame expressions
Her know what I mean‘s
And like’s aren’t excessive

She remembers all
The things I say
My stories and
My rants and raves

The tales she tells
With such emotion
Emphasized
By eyebrow motion

As she gestures
With her hands
And makes her small
Green eyes expand

The girl who’s wrong
In each way right
Is on my mind
All day and night

It shouldn’t work
I have to doubt
It’s all so wrong
To think about

I’m not on her mind
That much I know
And that’s what hurts
The most and so

I need to get over
This crush (it’s not love)
I know it’s not love
I know it’s not love
