In front of my desk

Is a blank document,

 that sits idling

on my computer screen.

To form words that

I can't say, but to

Write them, and have

Them stay.

The written word

As told by myself

Is what captivates me.

I sit and think,

I am not Shakespeare,

But I want an audience

To hear what I have to say.

Reading what I write,

Editing every word in sight,

To make it flow

Is my goal.

So before I finish,

Let me repeat,

The written words

That are seen before me,

Are what floods my mind.

The memories that I can

Write out into something memorable.
