To Write Love On Her Arms

The streetlights shine bright,

There's a glimmer in her eye,

She can not sleep tonight

All she does is cry.

She's lonely, broken, rejected.

The world has took it's toll.

It's not what she expected

She can't deal with it at all.

She's tried to numb

The pain she feels.

Her heart starts to hum

As she takes the pills.

She collapses on the ground

Crying

But yet, not making a sound.

She wonders why she keeps on trying

She looks, there's no one around.

She grabs her razor

Wanting to cause harm.

The only way she rids her pain

Is written on her arms.
