There

There again

I see those

I see you

Your eyes are dark

I see them

Through the pitch of my room

Behind me on the street

The Concrete Jungle

I feel your breath

Cold

Metallic

Makes the hair on my neck rise

The skin prickle

Right next to my ear

You whisper

You breathe

Just breathing

No green

I hear you

Always there

Watching

Following

Murmuring

I know you’re there

I know

Close enough to grab me

Steal me

I feel it

Faceless

Save for those black eyes

Moving without a sound

Gliding like fog at my heels

Taller than me

Leaning in deep to whisper

White hands

Long and cold and reaching

Wanting to take me

Going to draw nearer

Wanting it

I feel you

I know

Always there

Always close

Closer
