A World of My Own

A world full of hatred

fire, bombs, and destruction,

no longer exists

in my mind’s construction.

What is a world?

but a place to find home.

It’s where one can find shelter

of marble, silver, or chrome.

A haven for the poor

or a rest for the weak

Never a sorrow,

or a thought that be bleak.

United we’d stand

against the problems we’d face.

Strong, steady, tall

at our own battle pace.

A palace for each man

would grow from the ground.

Nothing can be lost,

and all would be found.

A world of my own,

all great, proud, and true.

A place for each person

including, yes…you.
