Work-a Tale of Perspiration and Inspiration

“Work, work, work. Work to achieve what I didn’t.

You can be great. Work, work, work”.

All of my life my mom has told me to work.

Don’t settle like she did.

“Work, work, work.You are smart.

You can be the first of us to go. Work, work, work”

All of my mom’s life she wasn’t told to work.

She wanted to be the first in her family

“Work, work, work. You’re better than this.

Education is so important. Work, work, work”

She wanted to be the first to go to college,

She wanted to prove them wrong

“Work, work, work. You’ve got this.

I know your tired but please… work, work work”

When that didn’t work out,

The dream fell on me, and I ran with it

“Work, work, work, You make me so proud.

I love you. Work, work, work”

My mom inspired me to work hard

I worked hard and now im one of the firsts,

The first to go to college. She inspired me

She showed me that nothing is impossible.

She inspired me to follow her dreams because

She worked, worked, worked for mine.
